Today in math, we finished up our perimeter and area unit for our quiz TOMORROW! The grade 3 students will be having an assessment on calculating perimeter, and the grade 4 students will be assessed on calculating area.
In language arts, students were given a story that had many blank spaces that were to be filled in using descriptive words. I was noticing that many students's stories they had written were lacking descriptive words and details, so this exercise was perfect to help students come up with some words that "paint a picture in the reader's mind."
In science, we did review for our Wheels and Levers unit test on MONDAY, JUNE 12TH. Students are bringing home two papers in their backpacks that will help them study for the test. We also played a jeopardy game to help students review the key concepts.
UPDATE: As many of you may know, Ms. Switzer went on MAT leave a few weeks ago and there is a new teacher filling in for her kindergarten class in the morning! The new teacher is Mr. Camden. He has also taken on teaching gym for our class 3 days a week! Your student may have told you about this shift! I teach gym the other two days of the week.
LIBRARY BOOKS! All library books are due back to the library on MONDAY, JUNE 12TH!
