Tomorrow is our second fun lunch of the year (Extreme Pita). Children would have needed to be registered for this lunch at least 5 days in advance. If you did register your child, please still send a snack to school to sustain them throughout the morning. Children who are not signed up for the lunch will need to bring a full lunch tomorrow.
Please continue to ensure that students are coming to school prepared for the weather.
Halloween is coming up next Monday. Students are welcome to bring their costumes to school to wear in the afternoon. Due to slips, trips, and falls hazards, no masks will be allowed. Any weapons or attachments that are not secured to the costume should be left at home. While we will not be sharing snacks on that day, students are encouraged to bring a special snack for themselves to enjoy in the afternoon.
Today in writing, we completed our outlines for our Haunted House for Sale projects. Students did an amazing job of grabbing the reader's attention and explaining why their haunted house is special. We will type good copies tomorrow when we have computers.
In math we learned and practiced how to round to the nearest hundred. It is the exact same process as rounding to the nearest ten, so students caught on quite quickly.
In social studies, we learned why maps are important and wrote about it.
We worked on finishing our art projects. We will add our leaved using pastels tomorrow. See pictures below.
