June 5th, 2023

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend! There are only 4 more weeks of school left. Ms. Moore will be returning to the classroom on Monday, June 12th! I will be here with Ms. Moore for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week to transition the students back to Ms. Moore and ensure the transfer goes as smooth as possible for the final 3 weeks of school:)

Today, we began our day with our weekly sharing circle where students get to share about their weekend highlights and their feelings.

In math, we began working on measurement. Grade 3 students are working on perimeter and the grade 4 students are working on area. This is a very short topic and we are aiming to finish it up by Thursday.

In science, we learned more about levers through two different experiments! In the first one, we learned that first class levers are most effective when the fulcrum is close to the load. In the second experiment, we learned that in a third class lever, the effort should be close to the load. We are on track to finish our Wheels and Levers unit by the end of the week! Depending on how the week goes, our unit test will be either on Thursday, or Monday next week!
