Happy Friday!
Today was a fun day filled with lots of creating and exploring as the students worked on their diorama projects!
Today in math, we did our second multiplication mad minute task where students do as many multiplication questions has they can in a minute. We were using this task to simply show students their progress with their mental math the more and more they practice. Almost everyone in our class was able to improve their score from April! We also continued to work on long division with the grade 4 students.
In social studies, students completed their diorama projects based on their First Nation research! The diorama's look amazing and were created with such thought and detail! Following the assignment, students filled out a self assessment tool to help them evaluate their work and reflect on their learning. Next week, I will be interviewing each student 1-1 to have them present their project to me and verbally communicate what they have learned about First Nation people and their way of life.
I hope that you have a lovely weekend! 😊
