June 21st 2023

Happy first day of summer!!!! It is hard to believe that we have hit the Summer Solstice already.

This morning we started out with a math challenge and an estimystery (both of which even challenged me, yikes!!)

Grade 4s went to do their health in Ms. Krahn and Nicolaou's classes while the grade 3s worked on their mindful doodling in our room. We taught the other classes how to play the math game Captain as well. We played a word game on the board for the last 10 minutes.

In the afternoon, we watched videos related to National Indigenous Peoples Day. We discussed the symbolism and began to create our own flags that represent us. See below for photos.

We are doing a point system to be allowed to sit wherever we want on the last day of school. We can gain points for following expectations, but we can also lose points! We need to be at 30 points by next Tuesday to sit wherever we want on Wednesday. We still have school on Thursday but there just wont be much desk work.

Tomorrow we have the grade 6 moving on ceremony at 1:30pm. Feel free to join us in the gym!

Have a great evening.
