June 1st, 2023

We have almost reached the end of the week! Today was an exciting day because we finally began our social studies diorama project!

In the morning, students had a chance to finish up the last little bits of information on their research papers and plan out their diorama on a sheet of paper before they began!

In gym, we had a dance party in the dark using some Just Dance videos for the dance unit. We discussed the importance of trying your best, even if it feels scary to dance in front of others! Hopefully, the dim light also gave them a little courage to let loose too!

In math, the grade 3 students played a multiplication game in partners while the grade 4's had another review of the steps for long division.

For the entire afternoon, students had the time to work on their dioramas. It was a very messy and creative process! They are looking great so far and the students learning about the First Nations culture is really showing in their thoughtful designs. Students will also have a good chunk of time tomorrow to work on their projects tomorrow!
