Happy Monday!
We've been working on making sure our bodies and minds are regulated throughout the day as we approach the end of the year.
We regrouped so all of the grade 3s were together for a lesson today while the grade 4s began their new health unit. In grade 3, we did a lesson on nutrition and sorted a variety of foods into their food groups. We will try to continue to work on this tomorrow. It was very busy having all of the grade 3s in one room so we may have to try something simpler tomorrow!
In science, we learned about the parts of a plant and how each part helps the plant meet its needs. Students made flip books to share their knowledge. See below for photos.
In math, we practiced filling in different parts of multiplication equations. An example would be __ x 6 = 30. Ask your child what it means to use the opposite operation to find the answer.
We finished the Wild Robot story today. The students were sad about the ending but many are excited to read the sequel on their own time.
Have a great evening!
