We had a great day today! We began our morning with a bellwork puzzle that required manipulating/changing letters in a word to create a new word. This type of puzzle is called a word ladder! We then moved on to our daily number talk. The task was called "Odd Clocks" because there were two clocks that were each missing one of the hands. Students had to use their knowledge about telling time to determine the clocks position at various times in the day.
In math, the grade 4 students continued practicing long division. The grade 3 students had circle time with Ms. Munroe to go over some of the division skills they have been working on as well.
In literacy, we had the computers booked for many students who were ready to begin typing up their stories. These stories will then we edited for the final time using the peer editing process before being handed in.
In science, students learned about the 3 different types of levers and the purpose of levers.
