Today in math, students reviewed how to represent division sentences on a number line. The grade 4 students had a quiz on multiplication and division as they will soon be moving on to more complex multiplication and long division. The grade 3 students had some time to continue building their fact fluency with division.

In literacy, students completed a spelling quiz based on last week's words. We will be wrapping up spelling tests in 2 more weeks! We also worked on writing for our Mother's day project... SHHH! It is a secret.

Yesterday, students had a presentation from a guest speaker named Misty! She works for Agriculture in the Classroom.  She spent an hour with the students presenting to them about farming in Alberta and where the food we eat comes from. Students learned the important role that cattle play in farming, and a little bit about life on a farm. Misty showed the class many pictures of her own family farm which sparked many amazing questions!
