We began our new unit in science called “Wheels and Levers.” Students worked in groups to define the word “work” meant to them. After discussion, students learned that work is defined as “the result of force moving an object.” Students participated in 3 experiments that helped us determine that the use of rollers reduces the amount of force you need to apply to move an object.
We also began to plan out a story using a story mountain for our story writing unit. Students came up with characters, setting, problem, rising action, climax, falling action and resolutions for their stories.
In math, we explore multiplication using arrays!
