We started out this morning by working on some fractions and shading in equal parts. Students seem to have a great understanding of what constitutes "equal" and what does not.
We continued working on our "I Can Statements" and reflecting on our work. We marked off work that we are proud of and work that needs improvement to share with you at conferences.
In social studies we began creating "wheels" of renewable and non-renewable resources. We will finish these up tomorrow.
We had our spelling tests today and started practicing our new spelling patterns. Watch for spelling duotangs to come home for a signature tomorrow.
Students who had money with them for the book fair were taken down to the library today to make their purchases. It will remain open during parent-teacher conferences if you wish to browse with your child and make a purchase. If you have not done so already, please use your MyCBE Powerschool to sign up for a 15 minute conference on Thursday evening or Friday morning. Please bring your child along with you to these conferences as they will be mainly student-led.
