Students brought home math pages from their duotangs today from the last term. We do not need these items back to school - you can decide what you would like to do with them!
We spent a good chunk of time this morning finishing or fixing our math tests from yesterday. We also worked on finishing our spelling from last week and putting together our star books of poetry. We are excited to share these next week at conferences.
In science, we did a couple of activities to learn that a mirror actually gives us reverse, or backwards images of objects. We call this a mirror image. Students experimented with how they could get their names to show up properly in a mirror and also wrote a secret kind message to a friend that could only be read in a mirror reflection!
We began learning about fractions today and did an activity called "My Name in Fractions". These will be in the classroom for viewing during conferences.
