Happy Thursday!
This morning we spent time learning the "two-apart" or "meet in the middle" method for answering basic facts. Ask your child about this method!
In language arts, we learned about similes, what they are and why we use them. We wrote some of our own similes as well.
In math, we continued estimating differences with word problems. Next week we will move onto a new addition strategy.
In social studies, we had the computers and continued to research our given regions. We also tried out a coding program called Scratch and will continue to learn the Scratch program in the coming weeks as part of our STEM curriculum.
