We had a very busy day today. Our schedule is all mixed up due to In-line skating so we have had to be flexible and go with the flow!
Parent teacher conferences are coming up this Thursday evening and Friday morning. Please go onto your MyCBE Powerschool account to book yourself in for a conference. They are taking place virtually this time around due to an increase in student and staff illness within our building.
We started out our day by doing a writing activity called "separate the grocery list". We took a long sentence that had multiple important details listed out, and separated it out into a paragraph, with each detail receiving it's own complete sentence. Take a look at the original sentence and what we were able to turn it into.
We also began a read aloud called Cam Jansen and the First Day of School Mystery. Today, we learned about the different types of "connection making" (text to self, text to text, text to media and text to world". Student wrote down the connections they were able to make.
After lunch, we went to music, and created a pictograph where one symbol was equal to 2 objects. Students created their own pictographs.
We got to do in-line skating today and we have one more session tomorrow.
