November 1st 2022

Welcome to November!!

It is hard to believe that we are already 8 weeks into the current school year. Time flies!

Today in writing, we wrote paragraphs about our favourite Halloween treats. Students were encouraged to write a second paragraph on the same topic (different candy) if they were feeling ambitious!

In math, we practiced rounding to the nearest ten- and hundred-thousand. We will be doing a place value review tomorrow and have our unit test on Thursday. We will be moving into graphing next week.

We outlined and coloured our haunted houses today. Check out these amazing, super creepy houses!

In science, we discussed and created food chains. We know that they go producer --> consumer --> decomposer. Usually, humans are the last organism on the food chain.

Please limit Halloween snacks being sent to school to a maximum of one small treat per day.

Please ensure students are comig to school dressed for the weather. The temperature will be taking a sharp turn over the next few days and students should be coming to school with snow

pants, winter jackets, hats and mitts/gloves.
