We had a very busy day of learning again today. We continued working on our Haunted House for Sale project, by listing nouns that we would see, hear, or feel inside of a haunted house.
In math, we continued practicing rounding to the nearest 10. We played a card game to practice this skill.
In social we looked at real maps to see if we could locate the legend, symbols, title, cardinal directions, and scale. We took notes about what we noticed and then compared it to another map. See pictures below.
Halloween is coming up next Monday. Students are welcome to bring their costumes to school to wear in the afternoon. Due to slips, trips, and falls hazards, no masks will be allowed. Any weapons or attachments that are not secured to the costume should be left at home. While we will not be sharing snacks on that day, students are encouraged to bring a special snack for themselves to enjoy in the afternoon.
Please ensure that students are coming to school with the appropriate outdoor gear for the weather.
