Wow! We had an incredibly busy day today but we got a lot accomplished.
In math, we learned about ordering numbers from least to greatest and greatest to least. We learned that first we should check how many digits the number has, then check the furthest left number to see which is higher, and then move right down the digits until you can put them in order. Students did amazing with this skill.
In gym, we had our last day of First Serve Tennis. Students did a great job learning tennis skills and were complimented by our instructor many times on their listening skills and manners.
In science, we went outside to look for plants, animals (or evidence of animals) as well as decomposers. We also looked for natural waste. The students had a great time and were glad to get to do it before the weather turned. Unfortunately, we were too busy and I did not get the chance to take photos of this part of the day!
We are so close to being done our Best Part of Me projects. Today we learned how to print from the Chromebooks to the library and we all went down as a class to print our work. If students were not done, they will be able to go down with a buddy when they finish to print theirs out.
Our next fun lunch will be on Thursday, October 27th (Extreme Pita). If you plan to register your child for this lunch, you must do so at least 5 days in advance. Go to healthyhunger.ca to register.
