Happy Tuesday!
I hope that everyone had a relaxing long weekend and enjoyed time with family and friends.
We had an exciting day today where we finished up some projects and began others.
To start the day, we finished the cutting and gluing portion of the apple acrostic poems using the students' names.
We then moved on to a project we will be working on for the remainder of the week called The Best Part of Me. It is one of my absolute favourite writing projects and I can't wait to see what the kids come up with!
In math, we continued to work on a place value quiz that we began last week. Students are starting to finish up and we have some extra time tomorrow to finish it off.
In social studies, we began working on a compass rose art activity. Students cut the proper shaped stencils and then cut the shapes out of different coloured pages of the magazines. Below is a picture of an example that students can look at. We are not done yet but should be able to finish it off tomorrow.
We will be going on a walking trip to Fish Creek Park on Friday, October 14th 2022. Please reach out via email if you would like to volunteer.
