September 29th 2022

There is no school tomorrow, Friday September 30th 2022.

Students who ordered fun lunches got to enjoy those today without any troubles! Thanks to parent council for their hard work in organizing our first fun lunch of the year.

We spent some time today discussing Orange Shirt Day, the meaning of the word reconciliation, and we created reconciliation flowers! Your child should have brought theirs home - ask them about it! See a couple of photos below! We also watched a virtual Orange Shirt Day assembly led by Mr. Miller and Mrs. Patton (First Serve Tennis is in the gym so we had to go digital!)

We got to use the computers today to work on some Mathletics. Students are getting faster at logging themselves in each time we use the computers. It is great to see!

We looked at a map today and used cardinal and ordinal directions to figure out how what direction we would need to go in to get from one point on a map to another. We learned that when we are looking at a smaller area, we can see clear roads and buildings on a map, but if we are looking at a bigger area like a city, we can no longer see all the roads but mostly just the main ones! We looked at Google Earth as well which is always fun!
